💡 Volunteer—November 15 and December 2: Volunteer and Learn: Grantmaking With a Racial Equity Lens

Have you ever wondered how United Way (and other funders) decide which nonprofit organizations will receive grants? Explore grantmaking from the inside out with a community services expert and work with fellow volunteers to select nonprofit agency recipients for service grants. These grants will support volunteering projects on or around Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service in January 2024.

✊ Learn—December 5: Advancing Racial Equity: Of Equity & Events

We’re connecting with local leaders like Doug Baldwin and Laura Clise to look into how hosting large sporting events and concerts affect communities? The result can mean bringing in revenue or neighborhoods being destroyed to make space for stadiums. Where are we on this journey and how can you actively support healthy recreation while having a great time at your next concert!
